Had a delightful 2 night stay, room was clean and well equipped with tea / coffee etc, breakfast was delicious. Location is perfect for visiting Tamworth castle, Editha's Church and The Assembly Rooms for entertainment in the evening, all of which we did with ease. Our host was friendly and helpful and pointed us towards The Tamworth Tap for real ale, and to an excellent nearby Indian restaurant a short walk away.
Excellent hotel with lovely staff and exceptional food. There is something very special about staying in an hotel built in the 1800’s that’s lovingly renovated and so stylish. I’ve stayed in a variety of the rooms now, all pleasing and importantly for me, the car park is onsite and secure. An absolutely lovely stay.
Stayed for one night and it was amazing. Rooms really clean and everything you need is included. Air con on the wall, fab big fluffy bath towels and really comfy beds. Choc chip biscuits were welcomed with Yorkshire tea . Had a really good sleep (including Charlie pup) then enjoyed a great breakfast. The staff were all lovely, really made you feel at home, even welcomed the dog who can be a bit of a barker. Even he got a sausage and treats & polished it off in minutes. Lovely pancakes and bacon toast and a full English. Would’ve been 5 stars if it was a shorter wait for breakfast, but to be fair they were really busy with returning customers who love their brekkies, so no problem there. Thanks again folks, we’ll definitely be returning
Book directly and have breakfast included at a lower overall price. Free secure car parking right in the centre of town and you cannot go wrong. The people are lovely and the whole establishment is sparkling clean. Sometimes the reward of taking a risk and supporting the local independent pays off high dividends. I will stay here again for certain.
Charming room in a nicely converted building. Large room with nicely appointed ensuite. Arrived after desk closed but all information sent by WhatsApp worked seamlessly.
We stayed in the two bedroomed cottage recently to attend a family wedding nearby. The cottage was warm, inviting and stocked with everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean and cosy. The staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful -nothing was too much trouble - even posting on to us an item of personal property we left behind. We slept very well and an excellent breakfast and unlimited coffee refills on the wedding day set us up for the day ahead. This family run hotel is the total opposite of souless, big-chain hotels. Staying at The Peel topped off a perfect celebratory weekend and we would highly recommend it.
I have been booking work meetings at The Peel for a few years now and the staff are always accommodating. This time I stayed in the accommodation and had a charming four poster bed. Comfortable, clean and all mod cons. Love this family run business, staff are all lovely and accommodation and food is exceptional.
I recently spent two weeks at this hotel and I had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a very friendly welcome. Sarah, who works at the front desk, was especially kind and helpful throughout my stay. She made sure that all my needs were met and that I felt right at home. The food at the hotel was also delicious, and I looked forward to every meal. The chefs really know how to create flavourful dishes, and there was always a great variety to choose from. Whether I wanted something light or more substantial, there was always something to satisfy my appetite. In terms of the room itself, I found it to be very comfortable and well-appointed. It had all the amenities that I needed, including a comfortable bed, a good-sized desk for work, and a nice bathroom. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I appreciated having a place to come back to after a long day of work. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay. The friendly staff, delicious food, and comfortable rooms make it a wonderful choice for both business and leisure travellers.
